Privacy Policy — SpeedCoder Tools
Last updated: August 24, 2025
This Privacy Policy applies only to the Developer Tools available under /tools
(e.g., YAML → TOML, JSON String Escaping). The main website (outside of /tools
) may be covered by a separate privacy policy.
1) Data Collection
The tools are designed to run entirely in your browser. We do not transmit your inputs or outputs to our servers for processing. No account is required to use these tools.
2) Local Processing
Conversions and transformations (e.g., YAML → TOML, string escaping) are performed locally in your browser using JavaScript libraries. Your data stays on your device unless you choose to copy, download, or share it.
3) Cookies & Storage
By default, these tools do not set tracking cookies. Minimal preferences (e.g., light/dark theme) may be stored in your browser (such as inlocalStorage
) to remember your UI settings.
4) Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) and Microsoft Clarity within /tools
to understand how the tools are used (e.g., page views, navigation patterns) and improve the user experience. These services may collect pseudonymous technical information such as page paths, device/browser type, and interaction patterns, but we do not send the actual content you paste or generate in the tools to these analytics providers. IP anonymization is enabled in GA4.
5) Third-Party Services
If any third-party libraries are used, they run locally in your browser. No data is intentionally sent to third parties from the tools themselves.
6) Error Reporting
If you report an issue, we may receive the information you choose to send us (e.g., example inputs) for troubleshooting. Do not include sensitive data.
7) Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date above. Material changes will be highlighted.
